The Magic Castle, Hollywood
As I continue my look into the world of magic the mysterious Magic Castle based in Hollywood, California intrigues me.
The Magic Castle is a clubhouse for magicians and magic enthusiasts, as well as the clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts and bills itself as “the most unusual private club in the world”. Only members and their guests are allowed entrance, though courtesy invitations . During a typical evening there are numerous magic shows and historic displays, as well as a full service dining room and numerous bars.
A typical evening here features magic shows that range from miracles right under your nose to full stage illusions that stun an entire room. The Castle is full of rare memorabilia and magnificent posters, so there’s a lot to see. There’s also a critically acclaimed full-service dining room and a number of unique bars, each with its own personality.
Apparently you shouldn’t be surprised to look over your shoulder and find somebody performing a minor miracle. You’ll soon understand why your visit will be one of the most amazing evenings you’ve ever experienced according to their website.
As well as magic galore you can also visit and attend the ‘Houdini Seance’

This is held for a private group of ten to twelve guests in the historic Houdini Séance Chamber. Decorated in the High Victorian style, it is now the home of many priceless pieces of Houdini memorabilia, including the only set of cuffs Houdini was unable to open. Houdini devoted much of his final years to the investigation of psychic phenomena. He promised his beloved wife Beatrice that he would, if he could find a way, send her a message from the other side.

So overall its invite only, unless your a member – you can fine dine, drink, watch and enjoy various magic shows, take magic masterclasses and best of all get involved with the paranormal.
Unfortunately due to Covid it is closed at the moment, however check out their website and get planning your visit for when its safe to do so,
